Dirk Stenkamp (born August 3, 1962 in Bocholt ) is a German manager . Since January 1, 2017, he has been CEO of TÜV NORD AG in Hanover.

Career

Dirk Stenkamp studied physics at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen and received his doctorate in 1994 as Dr. rer. nat. at the Research Center Jülich / RWTH Aachen on microstructural investigations on semiconductor elements. This was followed by study visits to the Institute for Materials Science at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories at the University of California in Berkeley , USA. In 1997 he joined the Semiconductor Technology division of Carl Zeiss in Oberkochen as head of development for lithography-optical alignment strategies . In 2000 he took over the management of Carl Zeiss Lithos GmbH. In 2001 Stenkamp became chairman of the board of management of Carl Zeiss Nano Technology Systems GmbH (previously LEO electron microscopy GmbH) and later CEO of Carl Zeiss Semiconductor Metrology Systems GmbH in Jena. From 2007 to 2009 he was a member of the Management Board of Carl Zeiss SMT AG .

In 2010, Stenkamp moved to Centrotherm photovoltaics AG in Blaubeuren as a member of the board and COO .

On February 1, 2013, Stenkamp joined TÜV NORD AG in Hanover. Initially as a member of the Executive Board, responsible for the areas of industrial service, IT and international business. He has been Chairman of the Board of Management of TÜV NORD AG since January 1, 2017. Dirk Stenkamp has been lecturing regularly as a visiting professor at Shanghai Maritime University / China since 2014. He is a member of the Presidium of the Association of TÜV e. V. ( VdTÜV ), member of the presidium of the German Institute for Standardization (DIN eV), member of the board of trustees of the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technology and Systems ( IKTS ), member of the steering group of the Wissensfabrik as well as curator, advisory board and board member in other associations and institutions .
