The DeSoto CF series was a series of passenger cars that Chrysler offered under the DeSoto brand name in the 1930 and 1932 model years.

In addition to the K series , DeSoto also offered an eight-cylinder model from 1930. The cars were equipped with an in-line eight-cylinder engine with upright valves, the 3404 cm³ (bore × stroke = 73 mm × 101.6 mm) 70 bhp (51Nbsp; kW) at 3400 / min. pulled, which were forwarded to the rear wheels via a manual three-speed gearbox. The chassis had a 2896 mm wheelbase and, in addition to various 2- and 4-door bodies (corresponding to those of the K series), could be equipped with a convertible body.

In contrast to the six-cylinder models, the CF had a chrome-plated radiator grille.

The cars were presented in January 1930. From July 1930, the unchanged cars were considered the 1931 model.

In January 1931, a revised version was released with a new grille, a sloping windshield and a more powerful engine. This now had a displacement of 3617 cm³ (bore × stroke = 73 mm × 108 mm) and developed 77 bhp (57 kW) at 3400 rpm. From July 1931, the then unchanged cars were considered the 1932 model and were manufactured until December 1931. Then the 8-cylinder engine was dropped without replacement.

A total of 28,711 eight-cylinder cars were built.
