Dean Brown

Dean Brown (* 1955 in Châteauroux ) is a jazz fusion guitarist and composer.

Life

Brown was born in France, the son of a Bronx- born professional soldier and a South Carolina jazz singer . In South Korea , where his parents subsequently moved, he became a pop star at the age of 14. Brown then studied jazz composition at Berklee College of Music . At first he worked primarily as a studio musician. For more than 25 years he has been a sought-after guitar player for recordings and tours. Mention should be made of the collaboration with David Sanborn , Marcus Miller , Joe Zawinul , Randy and Michael Brecker , Bill Evans and above all Billy Cobham . He has also recorded with Roberta Flack , Gil Evans , Eddie Harris , Gato Barbieri , Bob James , Victor Bailey , Lenny White , Steps Ahead and Color Me Badd .
