Dean Strong (born July 17, 1985 in Mississauga , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Valpellice in the Elite.A since summer 2013 .

Career

Dean Strong began his career as a hockey player in the Ontario Junior Hockey League , in which he was active from 2002 to 2004 for the Milton Merchants and Milton Icehawks . The attacker then spent a season with the Vernon Vipers in the British Columbia Hockey League before attending the University of Vermont from 2005 to 2009 . During this period, he played for their ice hockey team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association .

In the 2009/10 season Strong made his debut in professional ice hockey, when he ran parallel for the Worcester Sharks in the American Hockey League and their cooperation partner Kalamazoo Wings in the ECHL . For the following season , the Canadian received a trial contract with the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg from the German Ice Hockey League . In August 2010, however, the contract was not extended. Thereupon the ice pirates committed the attacker Crimmitschau . In the first quarter of 2011 Strong was sent to his homeland for rehab measures, during which he breached his current contract by signing a contract with his old club Kalamazoo Wings in the ECHL.
