Deathtale ( Engl . Death narrative ) is an Austrian thrash metal band that in 2008 Vienna by former Demolition was founded -members Tom Kräutner and Peter Musch.
history
After completing his European tour with Death Angel , Mercenary and Extrema, the drummer Tom Kräutner decided in September 2008 to leave the band Demolition he had founded in order to create a new band with Peter Musch, the ex-Demolition guitarist and singer to bring into being.
After Phill Späth was found as bassist and Thomas Trausmuth as guitarist, the band was first called Demolition: Reloaded . However, the name had to be changed to Deathtale in early 2009 to avoid confusion.
After line-up problems and Thomas Trausmuth's departure, Jan Geyer joined the band as singer and Max Dengler as guitarist. In October 2011 the debut album Apocalyptic Deadline was recorded and released in April 2012 by Terrasound Records. In summer 2012 Peter Musch left the band and was replaced on guitar by Alex Reich. In 2014 Max Dengler was replaced by Arian Rezaie and Jan Geyer by Alex Ondrovics, who had to leave the band in 2015 during the recording of the album Whole World Burns due to a serious illness. The vocal recordings were made by Patrick Pieler, who was confirmed as the new singer a short time later. The second album Whole World Burns was released again in February 2016 on Terrasound Records. In October 2016, Gilli Gehring took over the second guitar for Alex Reich , who left shortly before and has only been active as a live musician since the recordings for Whole World Burns .
In March 2017, Deathtale switched to the Spanish label Art Gates Records and released the third album The Origin Of Hate in November 2018 , which was on the European tour that took place in May 2019, together with the band I Am , which was founded around ex- Morbid Angel frontman David Vincent Morbid and the death legends Atrocity and Sadist was promoted.
