Debbie Rocks! is a German pop band that was founded in Reutlingen in 2002 .
The current band name is derived from a street musician named Debbie, who met the band members in Berlin.
history
The band was founded in September 2002 under the name "Deep Mind" by Paulina "Paule" Kammerlocher (* October 28), Rosa Stecher (* October 10, 1987 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt ) and Margot "Tan" Cichy (* 21 October 1987 ) December 1987 in Warsaw , Poland ). In June 2003, the band was expanded to include Katharina "Kathi" Seitz (born December 29, 1987 in Heilbronn ) and renamed " Skylla ". In the following years the band performed live in the Reutlingen area, for example at the Rock Days 2005 in Bad Urach . In 2006 there were again changes in the line-up and in the name. Paulina "Paule" Kammerlocher left the band, Sofia "Fie" Stark (born January 4, 1991 in Ruit ) and Denise Emily Wilson (born October 21, 1989 in Stuttgart ) joined the band, with the name in "Debbie Rockt!" was changed. Debbie Rockt made her first TV appearance! at VIVA Live.
Their first single Ich rocke was released on April 7th 2007. VIVA supported the band and put their music video on the highest rotation level. The second single Nie mehr Schule / Poppsong was released on June 29, 2007, the album Egal was ist ... on July 13, 2007. Nie mehr Schule is a cover version of Falco's 1982 song of the same name .
The last announcement for a concert on the band's website is from June 2008. On January 1st, 2009 the song Liebe Ana was published on the band's Myspace page .
Denise Wilson founded a new punk rock band in 2009 called "Electric Love". There she took over the lead vocals and plays bass.
Fie has been performing as a solo artist under her real name Sofia Stark since 2010. She accompanies herself on the piano or the guitar and writes German songs.
