DEDON is a German company with headquarters in Lüneburg that specializes in the production of exclusive outdoor furniture. The company, which was founded in 1990 by the then professional soccer player Bobby Dekeyser , is one of the leading suppliers in the industry as a manufacturer of high-priced outdoor furniture and has meanwhile won numerous international design awards.

history

Dedon developed a highly resistant, dyed-through plastic fiber based on polyethylene , called "Hularo", which has been manufactured for over 20 years and which looks confusingly similar to rattan fiber. The polyrattan , 100% recyclable , is made on the basis of specially mixed polyolefins , is washable, easy to care for and insensitive to salt water, sunlight, high and low temperatures and is also ecologically degradable. DEDON furniture is handcrafted by weavers in the Philippines , Cebu Island , with a production facility in Mandaue City .

structure

The company is represented in more than 80 countries and employs over 1,000 people. In recent years, DEDON models have received international design awards and the Red Dot Award several times.
