The Degelbach is a brook in the area of the municipality of Sauldorf in the district of Sigmaringen in southern Baden-Württemberg .

description

The Degelbach rises northeast of the eponymous capital of Sauldorf in front of the Birkenbühl forest . From here it flows steadily westwards, first past the south-western tip of the Birkenbühl at the single property Oberösch, then between the two somewhat distant places Sauldorf itself in the south and the associated village Wackershofen in the north under the connecting county road K 8271. On the other side, it passes three small ponds of less than 0.1 hectares in a wood on the left bank and then passes through a 0.8 hectare fish pond just before the wide Ablach floodplain, after which it crosses the Radolfzell – Mengen railway line .

After a remnant piece in a not very sloping ditch over the floodplain along the property boundaries it flows after a run of 2.4 km about 600 meters southwest of the Wackershofen village edge from the right into the Nollenbach . This is a 600 meter long ditch in the right Ablachaue and at least a temporary right branch of the Auenbach , which flows into the Ablach a little after the Nollenbach branch from the right, like the Nollenbach further downstream at the village of Oberbichtlingen in the municipality .
