Deivos is a technical death metal band from Lublin , Poland , that was formed in 1997.
history
The band was founded in 1997 by Tomasz Kołcon (electric guitar), Marcin Górniak (vocals) and Maciej Nawrocki (electric bass, drum computer, electric guitar). In 1999 the band recorded their first demo called Praised by Generations and released it through Broken Mind Records . However, due to the lack of a bassist and drummer, live performances were not yet possible.
That changed in mid-2000 when drummer Krzysztof Saran and bassist Jaroslaw Pieńkoś joined the band. Maciek and Marcin left the band towards the end of 2001. Bassist Jaroslaw now also took over the position of singer. The band now only had one guitarist.
In early 2003 the band recorded the EP Hostile Blood . The sound carrier was released in autumn 2003 via Butchery Music .
In 2004 Mścisław joined the band as the second guitarist. The band then wrote new songs for their debut album. The songs were recorded in January and February 2006 at the Hertz Recording Studio . The name of the album was Emanation from Below and was released in Poland through Empire Records in November 2006. The album was released through Metal Mind Productions in the rest of Europe in January 2008 and in the United States in March 2008.
Towards the end of 2008 the band recorded the next album again in the Hertz studio. The US label Unique Leader Records became aware of the band, so that Gospel of Maggots was released on the label in February 2010. As a result, the band held a tour of Poland. Pieńkoś left the band after the tour and was replaced by Hubert (vocals) and Kamil (electric bass).
In autumn 2011 the next album Demiurge of the Void will be released on Unique Leader Records.
style
The band's music is compared to that of Immolation , Hate Eternal , Decapitated and Behemoth . The aggressive sound of the works, the fast blast beats and the fast played guitars are characteristic.
