Route description
Delaware Route 6 runs eastward on Millington Road from the state border with Maryland through the Blackiston Wildlife Area. In Blackiston, the road crosses the western terminus of Delaware State Route 42 , which heads southeast to Kenton . State Route 6 continues to the east and about hits, two kilometers west of Clayton with the Delaware State Route 15 . Both streets overlap to the western edge of town, where State Route 15 turns north.
DE 6 continues east on Main Street through Clayton and as Smyrna Clayton Boulevard through Smyrna. Shortly after reaching this town, State Route 6 turns left onto Delaware State Route 300 , Glenwood Avenue. Both state routes overlap to US Highway 13 in northern Smyrna, where DE 300 ends and DE turns right onto Highway 13 in a southerly direction. On this four-lane median strip, the two highways overlap to Commerce Street, where the State Route resumes its eastern direction. She crosses the Delaware State Toll Route 1 and leaves Smyrna.
Outside of town, Route 6 becomes Woodland Beach Road. The road leads through the sparsely populated landscape and crosses Delaware State Route 9 , before reaching the end point at Delaware Bay in the small village of Woodland Beach through the Woodland Beach Wildlife Area .
