Delicious in Dungeon ( Japanese ダ ン ジ ョ ン 飯 Danjon Meshi , German 'dungeon food' ) is a manga series, written and illustrated by Ryōko Kui , which has been published by Enterbrain since 2014 . The series can be assigned to the genres Fantasy and Gourmet and tells of a group of adventurers who prepare their own food on their journey through a dungeon with the defeated monsters.

action

The manga follows a group of adventurers in a setting based on pen & paper role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons . The plot begins with a failed expedition into the dungeons, during which Falin, a human being and the healer of the troops, is eaten by a dragon. Back at the city some members leave the group, only Laios, Falin's brother and the leader of the group, the lock-cracker Chilchuck and the magician and elf Marcille remain. Together they plan another expedition to save Falin from digestion. Because they have no money and cannot waste time, Laios wants to collect and hunt food himself in the dungeons. The dwarf Senshi comes across them on their first attempt to prepare a meal. He has lived in the dungeon for a long time and is familiar with the preparation of living things here. Since he wants to kill and eat a kite one day, he accompanies the group. Laios also has to admit that he himself had long wanted to know what the monsters taste like, but never dared himself.

The individual chapters show the adventurers on their journey in a new area or in collision with new monsters and each time a new dish that the adventurers create from their surroundings. The preparation of the meal and the biology of the respective monster are explained and the importance of a balanced diet, especially when adventuring in the dungeon, is explained.
