Dellnhausen (Bavarian Dellnhaun ) is a district of the market Au in the Hallertau in Upper Bavaria . The village is located on the Abens in the Hallertau , the most important hop growing area in Germany, and has 66 inhabitants. It is known nationwide for its rich folk music scene.

history

Tellinhusir was first mentioned in a document in 826. Dellnhausen belonged to the former municipality of Abens , which was incorporated into the market Au in the Hallertau on May 1, 1978.

Economy and Infrastructure

The typical rural character is particularly evident in the numerous surrounding hop gardens in the tertiary hill country .

Culture

The "Singing Group Eberwein" from Dellnhausen was already known nationwide in the 1930s. The “Dellnhauser Musikanten” founded by Michael Eberwein in 1948 are still one of the most famous ensembles of classical Bavarian folk music . His son of the same name took over the management of the ensemble in the 80s. The “Dellnhauser Volksmusikfest” in Au, named after the place or the musicians, takes place every two years.
