Delm is a deserted area in the Ingeln-Oesselse district of Laatzen in the Hanover region in Lower Saxony .

The place Delm was about three kilometers south of Ingeln. Today the border between the Hanover region and the Hildesheim district runs immediately adjacent .

In the turmoil before and during the Hildesheim collegiate feud between the Guelph principalities and the Hochstift Hildesheim , the residents left Delm and settled in the surrounding villages of Hotteln , Ingeln, Oesselse, Bledeln , Gödringen , Lühnde and Sarstedt . The Delmer lands were already cultivated from Ingeln in 1450.

Realgemeinde Delm

In the 21st century, the Realgemeinde Delm still managed a property of 2.8165 hectares in the Hotteln district . Traditionally, the mayor of the real community come from Ingeln and the accounting officer from Hotteln. Membership in the Realgemeinde Delm can only be inherited or married.

Delmer oaks

Signs under the group of trees of the Delm oaks surrounded by hedges remind of the location of the village of Delm . The area is occasionally used on Ascension Day for an Evangelical Lutheran church service for the surrounding villages. The group of trees is registered as a natural monument. The three oaks in the Ingelner coat of arms are supposed to remind of the place Delm.

The Delmer Berg

The Delmer Berg or Delmberg is a 400 m south of the desert in the Sarstedt area about 103  m above sea level. NN high elevation.
