Delphin Enjolras (born May 13, 1857 in Courcouron , Ardèche , † 1945 ) was a French painter .

Life

Delphin Enjolras studied at the École de décoration de la Ville de Paris under Gaston Gerard. He later became a student of Jean-Léon Gérôme and Gustave Claude Etienne Courtois at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, together with Pascal Adolphe Dagnan-Bouveret . In 1889 Enjolras made his debut at the Société des Artistes Français and specialized in landscape painting . In 1890, Enjolra's first exhibition took place at the Salon de Paris , in which he subsequently participated regularly. During this time he opened his first studio in Paris. At the beginning of the 20th century , Enjolras changed his genre by focusing primarily on portraits of elegant young women.

Delphin Enjolra's works can be seen in the Musée du Puy and Musée d'Avignon, among others.
