Demon Island ( English for demon island ) is a 420 m long and 400 m wide island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is the largest of the Vardim Rocks southwest of Devils Point , the southwestern extension of the Byers Peninsula on Livingston Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2011 based on the name of the neighboring Devils Point.
