Denis Santos Wolf (born January 15, 1983 in Hanover ) is a German - Filipino former soccer player . The son of a German and a Filipino woman was used as a striker and as a midfielder .
Career
society
Wolf started his career at Germania Grasdorf . In 2001 he moved to Hannover 96 , where he made the leap into the first team in 2003. In total, he played four Bundesliga games for Hanover and scored one goal. After he was no longer used in the Bundesliga in the 2004/05 season, he switched to Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan to the Regionalliga Nord and was permanently committed after one season. In the two seasons at Fortuna, the midfielder played 55 games in which he scored seven goals.
For the 2007/08 season Wolf moved to league rivals FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . Here he became a regular player and completed 56 games in the following two seasons, in which he scored 12 goals.
For the 2009/10 season Denis Wolf moved from Erfurt to 1. FC Magdeburg in the Regionalliga Nord , where he had to sit out in the first half series due to injury. In the second half of the season, Wolf appeared in nine games and scored two goals. In total, he came to Magdeburg to 68 missions in which he scored 12 goals.
In July 2012, Wolf moved to his mother's home country for Global FC , a top Philippine club and the champions of the United Football League .
For the 2013/13 season, Wolf returned to Germany and signed a two-year contract with the northern regional division TSV Havelse . After three years in the regional league at TSV Havelse, Wolf joined the regional league club FC Stern Misburg, who plays in the Hanover regional league, in 2016.
In the summer of 2017, Wolf followed his coach Martin Polomka from FC Stern Misburg to the Hanover regional league for Hannoversche SC , where he will work as an assistant coach.
National team
Wolf was invited to a trial session with the Philippine national soccer team, which in 2011 qualified for a World Cup for the first time in 25 years. Wolf expressed fundamental interest and was ready to pull on the national jersey for the Philippines , but was not ready to comply with the request to pay for the flight and accommodation himself.
In 2012 he made his debut in the Philippine national soccer team. He also took part with the national team in the 2012 ASEAN soccer championship and reached the semi-finals.
