Until 2010 Wolotka took part in FIS races and the Eastern Europe Cup , which he finished in 2008 in fifth place in the overall standings. He had his first World Cup race in Rybinsk in January 2010 . In the sprint competition he reached 25th place and thus got his first World Cup points. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 , he reached sixth place in the team sprint. In December 2011 he took tenth place in Davos in the sprint, his best World Cup result. At the Kazakh cross-country skiing championships in 2012 in Almaty , he won bronze in the sprint. In the 2012/13 season he was able to win the Québec World Cup in a team sprint with Nikolai Tschebotko . His best result at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme was 50th place in the sprint. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he reached 58th place in the sprint and 13th place in the relay. In February 2015 he came 71st place in the 15 km freestyle and 52nd place in the sprint at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , he finished 41st place over 15 km classic, 40th place in the sprint and ninth place with the relay. His best placings at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 51st place in the sprint and eighth place in the relay.
The following year Wolotka took 51st place over 15 km classic at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol , 45th place in the sprint, 15th place together with Nikolai Tschebotko in the team sprint and seventh place with the relay. In March 2019, he became the Kazakh sprint champion in Shchuchinsk .
