history

DenizBank AG was founded in 1996 as a universal bank under the name ESBANK AG. In 2002 it was taken over by the Deniz Financial Services Group (FSG) , and in 2003 ESBANK AG was renamed DenizBank AG. In July 2003 the first foreign branch was opened in Frankfurt am Main and has since operated in Germany under the name DenizBank (Wien) AG. In December 2003, 51 percent of the shares in JSC DenizBank Moscow, formerly Iktisat Bank (Moscow), were also acquired.

In the first few years DenizBank AG grew primarily in the area of ​​trade finance between Austria and Turkey. By 2009 the number of branches in Austria rose to ten. As of 2009, direct banking was actively marketed as a second pillar alongside branch business. In 2015 the bank had 26 branches in Austria and 16 branches in Germany.

DenizBank Moscow

DenizBank Moscow was founded on March 19, 2003 with the acquisition of CJSC Iktisat Bank (Moscow) and renamed "CJSC Decia Bank" in 2007. Since 2012 it has been called "DenizBank Moscow".

DenizBank Moscow is 51% owned by DenizBank AG and 49% owned by DenizBank A.Ş.

Deniz Finansal Kiralama A.Ş.

DenizBank has a 51% stake in Deniz Finansal Kiralama A.Ş., Istanbul, Turkey, which specializes in leasing business with commercial customers in Turkey. DenizBank A.Ş., Turkey, holds the remaining 49%.

Products
