The İşbank AG is a German bank with its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main . It is a 100 percent subsidiary of the Turkish universal bank Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. based in Istanbul . İşbank AG is a member of the Federal Association of German Banks and its deposit protection fund .

Business areas

İşbank AG operates the universal banking business with private and corporate customers. The focus here is on looking after people of Turkish origin or Turkish companies in Germany. Since 2011, however, other customer groups have also been addressed with a direct banking offer for private customers (e.g. online checking accounts , overnight money accounts , fixed deposits , installment loans ).

history

As early as 1932, Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. their first German representative office in Hamburg . However , the representative office was closed again during the Second World War . The bank did not return to Germany until 1976 and reopened a representative office in Frankfurt am Main. In the following years, further representative offices were opened in Germany, but also in the Netherlands and Switzerland . In 1992 İşbank GmbH was founded as a German subsidiary with the takeover of the existing representative offices. In 2012, İşbank GmbH was finally converted into a stock corporation and renamed İşbank AG . On April 7, 2015 İşbank relocated its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main from Roßmarkt 9 to Zeil 123.
