Dennis Engelman (born February 8, 1995 ) is a German soccer player . He has been under contract with the Lower Rhine upper division club 1. FC Monheim since 2019 .

Career

Engelman played in the youth division of Bayer 04 Leverkusen until 2014 . In the 2013/14 season he took part in the first edition of the UEFA Youth League . He played five of the six group games, but retired with Leverkusen as third party. He also played a game in the Regionalliga West with the club's second team this season . In the 3-0 win over SG Wattenscheid 09 Engelman was on the pitch for over 90 minutes.

For the 2014/15 season he was accepted into the professional squad, but shortly thereafter until the summer of 2015 he was awarded to the third division club SC Fortuna Köln , who signed him for the 2015/16 season . The contract with SC Fortuna Köln ended on June 30, 2017.

After almost three months without a club, Engelman switched to the south-west regional division TSV Schott Mainz on September 22, 2017 , to replace the long-term injured defense chief Jonas Raltschitsch. On the same day he made his debut in a 1-0 defeat against local rivals Mainz 05 II after being substituted on in the 86th minute. Only three more first round appearances followed and so Engelman switched to Bonner SC in January 2018 . For the BSC he played the following year and a half in the Regionalliga West. For the 2019/20 season he signed the first division club 1. FC Monheim .

National team

Engelman played a total of six games in the U-15 and U-16 selection for the DFB . In the 3-2 defeat against Poland's U-15s on May 13, 2010, he scored the last goal of the game with the connecting goal to make it 3-2.
