Dennis Oliech (born February 2, 1985 in Nairobi ) is a Kenyan football player . The striker is a record-breaking Kenyan international.

Oliech began his striker career in Nairobi with Mathare United , the professional team from the Mathare Youth Sports Association slum project . While he was still playing for Mathare United, he made his first international match for the Kenyan senior team in the 2002/03 season at the age of 17 . In 2003 Oliech moved to Qatar to work with Al Arabi in Doha . His club Mathare United first had to sue FIFA in order to be awarded a transfer fee years later. In Qatar Oliech u. a. with the German midfielder Stefan Effenberg and with Argentina's striker Gabriel Batistuta . At the 2004 African Cup of Nations, he scored Kenya's first goal in an Africa Cup.
In January 2006 Oliech moved to FC Nantes in the French Ligue 1 . There he scored four goals in 32 games in 2006/07. In the summer of 2007, FC Nantes was relegated to the French second division. Oliech was initially loaned to the first division club AJ Auxerre and later sold. There he scored three goals in 24 games in 2007/08. From 2013 to 2015 he then played for AC Ajaccio .
After a three-year hiatus, he has been under contract with Gor Mahia FC in Kenya since 2018 .
National team
Between 2003 and 2015, the striker played a total of 70 times for the senior national team of Kenya and scored 34 goals. His brother Kévin Oliech , who was one year younger than him, was also nominated for the selection and made six international matches.
