Kévin Oliech-Opiyo (born December 24, 1986 in Nairobi , † August 16, 2020 in Berlin ) was a Kenyan football player .

Career

Oliech played for Kenyan first division clubs Securicor FC, World Hope FC, Gor Mahia FC, Nairobi City Stars and Mathare United .

On February 8, 2012, he and Kevin Kimani flew to a trial training session with KFC Uerdingen 05 . A little later both were in trial training at Alemannia Aachen .

In July 2006 he was a member of the Kenyan U-20 squad. In May 2010 he was nominated for the Kenyan national soccer team . In 2004 he had already completed three international matches as part of the CECAFA Cup , and in 2011 he made three further international appearances.

Kévin's older brother Dennis Oliech was also a professional footballer and is the record scorer for the Kenyan national team. Kévin Oliech died on August 16 of cancer in Berlin .
