Denis Shore

Denis Shore ( Denis Victor Shore; born May 24, 1915 in Johannesburg , † April 4, 1963 in Durban ) was a South African sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 , he reached the quarter-finals over 400 m and was eliminated with the South African team in the run-up to the 4-by-400-meter relay .

In 1938 he won bronze over 440 yards at the British Empire Games in Sydney ; over 100 yards and 220 yards he was eliminated in the semifinals.

At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he reached the semi-finals over 400 m and the quarter-finals over 200 m .
