Dentsply Sirona Inc. was created in February 2016 through the merger of DENTSPLY International Inc. and Sirona Dental Systems, Inc. and has since been the world's largest manufacturer of dental products and technology. The company is listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange.
Products
The Dentsply Sirona product range for dentists and dental technicians enables standard and special treatments to be carried out in restorative dentistry, implantology, endodontics and orthodontics and is divided into the areas of consumables, equipment and technology. The assortment ranges from small dental devices to digital x-ray devices to complete treatment and diagnostic devices for dental practices, dental laboratories and clinics.
history
On September 15, 2015, it was announced that the board members of the US company Dentsply International (market leader in consumables) and Sirona Dental Systems, Inc. (market leader in technology and equipment for dentistry) had approved a merger agreement. The merger was officially announced on February 29, 2016 and resulted in The Dental Solutions CompanyTM. Dentsply Sirona's chief executive officer is Donald M. Casey Jr. (Don Casey) and the executive vice president is Nick Alexos.
Dentsply Sirona's global headquarters are in York , Pennsylvania ; The international headquarters are in Salzburg , Austria.
Dentsply Sirona is the company with the largest sales and service infrastructure in the dental sector and employs around 16,200 people worldwide.
