Deokapellchen in Ahrweiler

The so-called Deokapellchen in Ahrweiler , a district of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in the district of Ahrweiler ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), was built in 1852. The chapel on the corner of Walporzheimer Strasse and Am Silberberg is a protected architectural monument .

The simple building with the inscription DEO (“for God”) has an altar hall with the year 1852 on the inside. The two leaded glass windows were made by Rudolf Maur in 1967. They show the apostle Judas Thaddäus and St. Ursula of Cologne .

In 2013 the chapel was extensively renovated.
