The department of Conesa is located in the east of the province of Río Negro in southern Argentina and is one of 13 administrative units in the province.
It borders on the Pichi Mahuida Department in the north, the Province of Buenos Aires in the east, the Adolfo Alsina Department in the south, the San Antonio Department in the west and the Avellaneda Department in the northwest .
