Depot V from Písek
The custodian V of Pisek (also hoard V Pisek ) is a hoard of Early Bronze Age Unetice culture of Pisek in Jihočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. The depot is now in the Písek Museum.
Find history
The depot was first mentioned in 1954. The exact location and the circumstances of the find are unknown. There is probably a connection with the Bronze Age hill settlement on Velký Mehelník .
A total of five depot finds come from Písek, three of which ( I , II and V) belong to the Aunjetitz culture and two ( III and IV ) belong to the late Bronze Age . There are also several individual finds of bronze objects .
composition
The depot consists of nine bronze bars . They are flat, broadened in the middle and have slightly curved ends. A bar has four deep indentations in the middle of the back. Some bars have been deformed in recent times, and the ends of several have broken off.
