The Rosenhügel is an urban development project under construction by the City of Vienna on the Rosenhügel mountain of the same name . The project is being developed by Rosenhügel Entwicklungs-, Errichtungs- und Verwertungsgesellschaft mbH & Co KG (a project company of the project partners Strauss & Partner Development GmbH, the Austrian subsidiary of UBM Development AG and Immovate Projektentwicklungs GmbH). On the property of the former Rosenhügel film studios in the 23rd district of Liesing , directly on the border with the 13th district of Hietzing , 204 privately financed condominiums will be built on around 15,000 square meters of floor space by the end of 2017. The apartments are spread across seven residential buildings named after famous international film studios - Atlas , Buena , Constantin , Douglas, Elios , Fox and Goldwyn .

location

The Rosenhügel will be built on the site of the former Rosenhügel film studios in the 23rd district of Liesing , on the border with the 13th district of Hietzing . Parts of the studios, such as Halls 1 (the first artificial light recording hall, which is now used as a training facility for rhythmic gymnastics, operated by ANPO Sporthalle GmbH) and 6 (“Synchron Hall” for recording sound recordings for international film productions under the name Synchron Stage Vienna , operated by the Synchron Stage OG), have been a listed building since 2011 . In the direct vicinity of the residential project, the Rewe Group and BEHF Architects have developed a MERKUR consumer market that is integrated into the rising terrain and built over with a childcare facility from the MA11. In addition to educational and childcare facilities, there is also the Hietzing hospital in the vicinity . The Hermesvilla and the Lainzer Tiergarten are also in the immediate vicinity .

architecture

The architecture of the residential buildings is the result of an architecture competition organized by the architectural offices Berger + Parkkinen and Christoph Lechner & Partner ZT (houses Constantin, Douglas, Elios, Fox and Goldwyn) as a joint venture and by BNT Beckmann N'Thepe (houses Atlas and Buena ) was won. The spacious park that connects the houses was designed by the landscape architects Lindle + Bukor. Strauss & Partner Development and Immovate act as builders, jointly represented in the Rosenhügel development, construction and exploitation company. The construction company PORR , the building services company MOLIN, the electrical engineering company SAW and the elevator manufacturer KONE were commissioned to carry out the construction work .
