The Treasure of Walton Island (OT: Lost & Found ) is a 2016 Canadian adventure film directed by Joseph Itaya .

When Andy Walton loses a swimming competition and with it his scholarship and, to top it all, is caught stealing, his father Jim has enough. He sends him to his brother Trent, an alcoholic who is more than happy to keep himself afloat with his fishing. Andy's brother Mark also drives to Trent, who lives on an island.
On the spot, the two discover that the island is named after their family. But Trent is in debt and threatens to lose his house. Together with Claire Broman, who happens to be one of the girls from the clique, because of whom Andy was caught stealing and his secret flame, the two slowly discover the secret of the island. Grandpa Walton had amassed an incredible fortune, but one day he disappeared without a trace. He's hidden his fortune so well that neither Trent and Jim nor Claire's father John have been able to find it yet.
But the two dissimilar Walton brothers and Claire can solve some of the puzzles. But Claire also has to realize that her father is an unscrupulous murderer who made nine people who were also looking for the treasure in the forest disappear, thus establishing the fairy tale of a cursed forest on the island. When Andy finds out by chance that Trent is actually his father, he has had enough. In a rage, he flees into the forest and finds the old gold mine by correctly interpreting the clues from his grandpa.
In the meantime, panic breaks out and Trent informs Jim that his two sons have disappeared. Andy ran after his brother or actually cousin and also found the gold mine. Together they find the gold treasure, but John Broman provides the two. In doing so, however, he triggers the trap that only a Walton can defuse. When the two refuse, he pushes Mark into the sea. In the subsequent tussle, he and Trent also land in the water. In the meantime, Trent and Jim have also reached the cliff. After saving Andy, Trent tries to save his son as well and jumps into the water. But then it is actually Andy who saves him.
The Waltons have now inherited a huge fortune and can run the island again. The two broken brothers find each other again, Andy and Claire become a couple and he and Mark swear an eternal brotherhood.

The German-language dubbed version of the film was released on March 17, 2017 on DVD and Blu-Ray.
reception
The film won the 2016 Bentonville Film Festival for Best Family Film .
In the film service , the film was rated as "a passable but harmless youth adventure film without surprises, in some scenes too scary for smaller children".
