The devil (tarot)

The devil is one of the also major arcana -called trump cards of the Tarot .

presentation

A horned and winged demon with eagle claws stands on an altar to which two smaller devils are tied. He is holding a torch in his left hand .

interpretation

The devil symbolizes the total and the inconsistent, his theme is power and powerlessness. On the hero's path, it symbolizes the examination of conscience.
