action

The twin sisters Tess and Emily Tyler live with their father Maxwell Tyler. Your mother died some time ago. Your father works as an artist . Both twins are very fond of their father. But they notice that something is missing in life since he no longer has a wife. So the two of them decide to help him.

They paint the message on a billboard that their father is looking for a wife. This attracts attention. And when the television reported about it, the widower received bags of letters from women who all wanted to get to know the “Billboard Dad”. Only one single woman (Brooke Anders) shows no interest. She doesn't think she'll find her dream man this way.

Initially, the father knows nothing about his daughters' actions. But can he refuse them something? And so he first goes out with some women. But these dates are all a flop. Then he wants to give up, but chance leads him to the right letter. Brooke's girlfriend wants to go out with Maxwell. However, Brooke and Maxwell meet at the agreed meeting point. And very soon the great love arises from it .

The Tyler twins are very happy with themselves. Her father is finally enjoying life again and has more time for her again. Now this would be a pretty short film. And so there must also be a bad guy who disturbs happiness. Nigel, the manager of Maxwell, takes most of the profit from selling the works of art himself. He also has copies of the works of art made and sells them without the artist's knowledge.

Nigel fears that Maxwell's artwork will be harder to sell if Maxwell changes his style. This has been the case since Maxwell was no longer depressed. So he comes up with a plan. He picks up Brooke's voice and cuts it into a tape with a completely different meaning. He fools the Tyler twins into thinking that Brooke is only interested in Maxwell's money. Because the two overheard this supposed conversation between Nigel and Brooke, they want to help Nigel get rid of Brooke. They succeed in doing this through an intrigue with the help of a photo model . However, a short time later, their conscience tells them that this act was not right.

Eventually the two discover that Nigel has betrayed them and is cheating on their father. They collect evidence against Nigel and present it to their father. And after talking to Brooke, they finally manage to reconcile the two.

Reviews

Scott Weinberg criticizes the acting performance of the Olsen twins, which he thinks is very bad - so he wonders how their acting career will end. He thinks the film is good entertainment for 9 year old children. However, he adds that children would eat fast food 23 hours a day if they weren't told by their parents to eat something healthier.

"The Olsen girls are all about wide-eyed reaction and sarcastic banter, and - since it's clear they have very little acting skill - I'll be very curious to see where their careers end up. (...) Nine-year-old kids may sit through it and have fun, but nine-year-olds would also eat french fries 23 hours a day if their parents didn't give force them to try something more nutritious. "
