content
Separated from her husband Philip, interior designer Patricia Harrison comes to London to celebrate her father's birthday with Brad Morris. In the evening, however, a man breaks into her apartment. In the darkness there is a scuffle, Patricia kills the stranger in the affect. But the police have doubts about it. It turns out that the stranger was a man named Venner. Although Patricia denies knowing him, there is mounting evidence that this is not true. The police found out that the dead man was in Paris at the same time as Patricia was there. Not only that: he also stayed in the same hotel. The reason for the trip to France was the purchase of a picture for her father when he was 60. It gradually becomes clear that paintings and false pictures are connected to the whole case. There is another break-in and soon there is another death. Who is behind the whole gang of image forgers? The murderer can only be exposed with a trick.
criticism
“A television game that reproduces the Durbridge piece 100% and is therefore really true to the original. The good actors and the typical Durbridge entanglements make for an exciting intimate play. Only the design (and especially the choice of colors) is debatable. ”(The Francis Durbridge homepage)
publication
