Thomas Weisgerber
Thomas Weisgerber (born January 17, 1929 in Hanover ; † August 2, 2018 ) was a German actor .
Life
After dropping out of medical school, Weisgerber began training as an actor in Frankfurt am Main . At the same time he founded the room theater Studio 51 in Wiesbaden , which he later had to close due to financial difficulties. After completing his acting training, theater engagements in Hof, Freiburg, Hamburg and Bremen followed. In 1960 Weisgerber went to the GDR , where he played for the Rostock Volkstheater and the Volksbühne Berlin . Weisgerber was increasingly seen on the screen in DEFA productions. In the early 1980s, Weisgerber increasingly withdrew from acting.
