action
An armada of spherical UFOs from Venus is attacking the earth and destroying entire cities within a few hours. The Japanese scientist Prof. Masato Takigawa had once started the construction of a war spaceship called Gothen to protect the earth from possible invaders from space. However, the project was canceled for unknown reasons. But after the first devastating attack by the Venusians, work on the spaceship is resumed. After Prof. Takigawa succeeded in completing the Goths in a hurry, a massive counter-attack followed, in which all UFOs were destroyed. After this success, Prof. Takigawa decides to fly with the Gothen to Venus in order to destroy the base of the invaders. Finally, on Venus, there is an all-important duel between Prof. Takigawa's ship and the alien flagship. The Gothen wins the fight and destroys the base of the Venusians, the earth is saved.
criticism
The lexicon of international film judged it to be a "fast-paced, trick-technically well-made, but limitlessly naive science fiction film without great tension."
