action

The young Prince Sigmund von Walhalla tries to be as good a ruler as possible. This is made difficult by the Vikings, led by the aggressive Hunding, who are apparently planning an invasion on the borders. In search of a secret treasure, the possession of which promises undivided power, they cross the Black Forest, the heart of Valhalla. Only Sigmund and his sister, Valkyries leader Brunhilde, know the way through him; anyone else who tried to cross it paid with their lives.

Hunding finds an ally in the daughter of one of Sigmund's loyal followers, Erika, who is embittered by unrequited love, and with her help they can attack the camp of the Walhalla residents and kill many. Sigmund swears revenge and pursues them with the remaining men. Hunding, however, succeeds in capturing him and his fiancée Siglinde, Erika's sister, also through other traitors in Sigmund's ranks. Thanks to his intellectual superiority and bravery, however, Sigmund succeeds in putting an end to the invaders. In a duel he defeated Hunding.

Reviews

“Salvi's ambition to process two epics within 90 minutes is to be honored, but leads to an incredibly complex plot, especially in the first 30 minutes. It also brings up a whole series of contradictions, even within its own terminology. Gordon Mitchell is very good, but Luisa Rivelli likes best in her nuanced role. "

- Matt Blake.

"Trivial fantasy adventure that plunders legends without hesitation and creates nonsensical connections."

“A cinematic retelling of a mythical story that failed to capture its atmosphere. The plot can be easily detached from its backdrop and is presented as stiff as a stick. Hardly entertaining. "
