The Derocher Peninsula is a snow-covered peninsula on the north coast of the West Antarctic Alexander Island belonging Beethoven Peninsula . It is located between Brahms Inlet to the west and Mendelssohn Inlet to the east.
Aerial photographs of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) were used in 1960 to map the British geographer Derek Searle from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Paul J. Derocher (1921–1988) of the United States Navy , commanding officer of the VXE-6 squadron from May 1985 to May 1986.
