Willi Max Scheid

Willi Max Scheid (* 21st December 1889 in Koblenz ; † 28. October 1932 in Pforzheim ) was a German architect , commercial artist and university lecturer at the Baden School of Applied Arts Pforzheim .

Life

Willi Max Scheid began studying medicine at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg in the summer semester of 1910 . In the winter semester of 1911/1912, he changed his subject according to his inclinations and went to study architecture at the Technical University of Karlsruhe .

After the First World War , Scheid first passed the first state examination in building construction. He embarked on a career as a construction clerk and passed the second state examination after his legal clerkship . In June 1923 he was appointed government master builder ( assessor in the public building administration). As an assessor, he initially worked as a lecturer at the Badische Kunstgewerbeschule Pforzheim, where he was appointed professor in 1930.

Scheid's artistic interest was particularly in commercial graphics. He was a member of the German Werkbund .

Scheid was a member of the student associations KDStV Ripuaria Freiburg and the KDStV Normannia Karlsruhe as well as an honorary member of the KDStV Black Forest Karlsruhe.
