Deryk Theodore (born August 18, 1989 in Edmonton ) is a Canadian pole vaulter .

Athletic career

Deryk Theodore gained his first international experience at the Pan American Junior Championships 2007 in São Paulo , where he finished fourth with 4.65 m. In 2008 he retired at the Junior World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 5.00 m in qualification. In 2010 he won the silver medal at the U23 NACAC championships in Miramar with 5.10 m. In 2017 he won the bronze medal at the Francophonie Games in Abidjan with 5.30 m and reached tenth place at the Summer Universiade in Taipei with 5.10 m. In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time , where he finished seventh with 5.35 m.

In 2016 Theodore became Canadian champion in pole vault. He is a student at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology .
