Destroyers was a Polish thrash metal band from Bytom , which was founded in 1985 under the name Destroyer and split up around 1991.

history

The band was founded in 1985 under the name Destroyer. After developing some songs, the band released their debut album Noc królowej żądzy in 1989 . The band consisted of singer Marek Łoza, guitarist Adam Słomkowski and drummer Wojciech Zięba. Before the album was released in English under the title A Night of the Lusty Queen , the band played on Metalmania in 1987 . She was also heard with four songs on the split release of the same name . In 1991 the second album The Miseries of Virtue followed . Singer Łoza was the only remaining member. Waldemar Szyszko was now the bass player in the band, while Waldemar Szyszko played the electric guitar and Tomasz Wiczewski played the drums. After the album was released, the band broke up. In 2011 the debut album was re-released via Metal Mind Productions .

style

The band plays classic Thrash Metal, with the high-pitched vocals reminiscent of King Diamond 's. The songs are sometimes quite technically demanding and comparable to other Polish bands such as Turbo , Wolf Spider and Astharoth . On their second album, the songs also became more aggressive.
