Detective Loki - master for mysterious cases ( Japanese魔 探 偵 ロ キmatantei roki ) is a manga series by Sakura Kinoshita (including Tactics ) that was also filmed into an anime series. It can be the Shonen assign genre of and acts of God Loki , who was banished to the human world and evil souls there needs to collect.
action
Loki is banished from the world of gods by Odin and transformed into his younger self. He collects evil energies that he needs to transform himself into his true form and to return to the world of gods. That's why he opens the Enjaku detective agency . There his son Yamino ( Jormungand ) is at his side.
His first client is Mayura, a school girl who asks him to help a school friend who is certain she is being watched by a serial killer. She is so infatuated with mysterious things that after the case closes, she joins Loki's detective team herself.
Characters
- Loki is a young boy, with light to medium brown hair and green eyes, who has the Nordic god of lies (a trickster ) with all his knowledge and charm. After he exaggerated his mischief in the world of gods, he was banished by Odin to the human world and is now looking for his way back. He is the father of Fenrir , Yamino and Hel. His weakness is water, since he is also the Nordic god of fire.
- Mayura Daidouji is a 16 year old high school student with pink hair and red eyes. As a fan of mysteries, she joins Loki's detective agency and sees herself as a talented assistant, although she usually only makes the awkward situations worse. Unlike her father, she is unable to see occult things. That's why she can't figure out who Loki really is. Her mother (presumably) died of illness when she was a little girl.
- Ryuusuke Yamino ( Jormungand ) is Loki's second son. A young man with dark green hair and green eyes who wears glasses and is always polite and courteous. Its true form is the giant Midgard serpent. It is so big that it spans the whole world. That is why she was banished to the depths of the ocean by Odin . But Loki freed him and cast a spell on him so that he now follows him in his human form and is eternally grateful to him. For this reason he runs the household in the human world and cooks Loki in the finest way.
- Fenrir is Loki's first son. He is a small, cute, black dog with googly eyes. He is actually a mighty wolf and washeld captiveby the magical bondage Gleipnir . But the oldest of the three Norns, Urd, freed him and now he spends his time teasing his younger brother.
- Hel is Loki's youngest child. She is a young girl with pink, wavy hair, green eyes and glasses (she looks a bit like Mayura). She is the goddess of the underworld and always felt alone while her brothers were allowed to be with their father. Therefore, she incapacitates her brothers and tries to kill Loki.
- Narugami is a high school student in Mayura's class, he has red hair and magenta eyes. In reality he is the god Thor and always carries his "partner", a wooden sword ( Mjölnir ) around with him. Thor has been sent into the human world by Odin to kill Loki, but in the end he doesn't. Then he forgot how to get back into the world of gods and therefore struggles with part-time jobs until he finds a way. And because of his constantly changing jobs, he always shows up when you least expect it.
- Reya Oshima is a little girl who lost her parents in an accident. She cannot remember the time before the accident. She has medium length brown hair and also brown eyes. She is in love with Loki and she is the goddess Freya , who hides in her, too. Therefore, whenever Reya becomes jealous, she transforms and causes a lot of chaos.
- Kazumi Higashiyama has purple hair and red eyes. He is actually Heimdall , a patron god, but he came, on Odin's behalf, into the human world to take revenge on Loki and kill him. Because Loki once took Heimdall's right eye, which is why his purple hair covers it. But his plan fails and so he too has to linger in the human world. Nevertheless, he tries again and again to kill Loki or otherwise make life difficult for him, but not very successfully.
- Freyr is a young man with brown hair and blue eyes who thinks he's a great inventor and likes to call himself the Phantom Freyr. Freya is his sister and so he is also a god of Norse mythology. He works with Heimdall and tries to banish Loki into the human world with a runic curse, but he does not always do it very well. When he was distributing handkerchiefs with an announcement in town, he ran into Mayura, with whom he promptly fell in love. He calls her his " Yamato nadeshiko " (in the anime) and is constantly trying to win her attention and affection. His metal pig is called Gullinbursti and serves him as a means of transport as well as a weapon, and he often tries to attack Loki with his ship Skidbladnir.
- Misao Daidouji is Mayura's father and is not exactly enthusiastic about his daughter's love of mysteries. In contrast to Mayura, he does not believe in ghosts, demons or the like, although he is a Shinto priest. He can see psychic or occult things like ghosts, which Loki always enjoys. Whenever he meets "Mayura-papa", he lets all kinds of evil demons and ghosts appear behind him in order to scare him and annoy him. Because of this, Misao doesn't like Loki too much.
- The three Norns, Urd , Verdandi and Skuld , are actually a swan, but at the request of Urd, who fell in love with Loki, Odin divided them into the three goddesses of fate (quote: "Urd, you have the wings of the past and the Lost the present "). It is she who puts Loki on the trail of Utgard-Loki.
- Utgard-Loki (Majesty U.) has silver hair and mostly a heavy cloak. He is the king of the huge empire and wants to unite with Loki under all circumstances, because he is in love with Spica, but that is exactly the reason why this does not work.
- Spica (Angarboda) is a giantess and the mother of Loki's three children. Odin sent her into the human world with a murderous runic curse. When Loki accidentally takes her in, he does not recognize who she is and since Spica cannot speak due to the curse, she can logically hardly make it clear to him.
- Odin / Balder is the god of all gods and a versatile caregiver for Loki, but the latter was done after Loki stole Heimdall's eye and shortly afterwards killed Balder, which is why he was banished. Balder takes possession of Odin's body and sees with Heim's eye that Loki will probably kill him and therefore pushes one problem after the other in his way. He also wants to take urd to his wife, but Loki saves her life in Balder's first attack, in which Narugami dies.
