Detlef Müller (politician, 1955)
Detlef Müller (born August 6, 1955 in Stendal ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the state parliament in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
Life and work
Detlef Müller completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic after attending the polytechnic high school in Börgitz . From 1982 to 1987 he studied at the Technical School for Political Science in Weimar . From 1992 he worked in the administrative office of Ludwigslust-Land and from 1994 as an insurance specialist. Müller is married and has three children.

Müller sat on the city council of Grabow from 1982 to 1988 and was mayor of Groß Laasch from 1988 to 1999 . He joined the SPD in 1995 and was a member of the SPD district parliamentary group in Ludwigslust . From 1996 to 2007 he was the deputy district chairman of the SPD Ludwigslust / Hagenow .
From 1998 to 2016 he was a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. There he was spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group for European politics and tourism and chairman of the European and Legal Committee. He did not run for the election in September 2016.
