Detlef Thomaneck

Detlef Thomaneck (* 1947 ) is a German entrepreneur, politician of the FDP and honorary consul of the Republic of Iceland .

Life

Thomaneck was an engineer and technical director in the state-owned enterprise (VEB) building management. After the reunification he was active in business, among other things as managing director of a private housing management company in Rostock .

Thomaneck was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LDPD), which merged with the FDP in 1990. He was initially managing director of the FDP regional association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and headed it from 1995 to 1998 as chairman. As such, he was also a member of the FDP federal executive committee during these years . As media policy spokesman for the FDP Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , he was one of the 18 members of the radio advisory council in 1991 according to Article 36 of the Unification Treaty .
