Hans Kreher

Hans Kreher (born March 24, 1943 in Triptis , Thuringia ) is a German politician ( FDP ). From 2006 to 2011 he was a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

After graduating from high school in 1961, Kreher worked as an agricultural intern for a year. From 1962 he studied art and German for teaching. After graduating, he worked as a teacher and consultant for art at a POS in the district of Wismar, from 1968 interrupted for two years for military service and from 1970 at the POS Bad Kleinen. From 1991 to December 2005 he worked at the Dorf Mecklenburg high school. He has not been working in his profession since January 2006. Kreher is Protestant, married and has two daughters.

Kreher joined the LDPD block party in 1966 , became involved in the New Forum during the fall of the Berlin Wall in September 1989 and became a local politician, henceforth for the FDP. From 1990 to 1994 Kreher was the head of the community in Bad Kleinen and from 1994 to 1999 he was deputy district council president in the north-west Mecklenburg district . From 1999 to 2007 he was state chairman of the FDP in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and a member of the federal executive committee. After the local elections in 2004 , Kreher, whose FDP was the strongest party in the local council with 29.1 percent of the vote, also became mayor of Bad Kleinen. From October 16, 2006 he was also a member of the fifth state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and its third vice-president. Kreher was a full member of the state parliament's committee for education, science and culture, spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group for this area and a deputy member of the petitions committee. After the FDP failed to pass the 5 percent hurdle in the 2011 election , he left the state parliament. In the 2014 local elections , the FDP in Bad Kleinen lost the majority of its votes, but Kreher remained as one of two FDP MPs on the local council; he himself had not resumed mayor and resigned from this office in July 2014.
