He came from the von Linden family , which was ennobled in Swedish Pomerania, and was the second son of Carl von Linden († 1721), heir to Tellin , Broock , Hohenbüssow and Buchholz, and Barbara Louise von Schwerin (* 1690), a sister of Kurt Christoph von Schwerin . In December 1733 he became an auscultator at the Märkische War and Domain Chamber . He was promoted to the War and Domain Council in April 1736. From 1740/1741 he was sent to the Swedish court as envoy extraordinary to Stockholm , where he stayed until August 1742. In March 1743 or 1745 he received his farewell. He died there in early 1761. His goods fell to his brother, General Christian Bogislaw von Linden .
