The Devín Carpathians (German literally "Thebener / Deviner Carpathian") is the southwestern portion of the Little Carpathians , one in Slovakia situated Mountains . At the same time, they also represent the beginning of the Carpathian Arch . The name for this part of the mountain range is Devín Castle and the associated Devín municipality . It is bounded by the valley of the March River in the west, the Danube lowlands in the east, the Danube in the south and the Pezinské Karpaty , another part of the Little Carpathians, in the north. The highest mountain is Devínska Kobyla with 514 m.

The Slovak capital, Bratislava, lies at the foot of the Devínske Karpaty . Furthermore, an important Slovak wine-growing region ( Malokarpatská vinohradnícka oblasť ) can be found here.
