Devprayag ( Hindi : देवप्रयाग , Devaprayāg ) is a place in the Tehri Garhwal district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand .
It is located on the edge of the Himalayas at an altitude of almost 700 m . In 2011 the place had 2152 inhabitants.
Devprayag is the place where the source rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda unite to form the Ganges .
