Dexter Anthony Carter (* 15. September 1967 in Baxley , Georgia ) is a former American American football poker players. He played seven seasons as running back in the National Football League (NFL). He won Super Bowl XXIX with the San Francisco 49ers .

NFL

Carter was selected in the first round of the 1990 NFL Draft as the twenty-fifth player by the San Francisco 49ers . In 1994 he won the Super Bowl XXIX with them . In 1995 he moved to the New York Jets , but returned to the 49ers in the same season, for which he played until 1996. Carter's career was disrupted by frequent fumbles , which is why, after two seasons and 13 fumbles, he was denied longer service times as a running back. However, he was employed as a return specialist throughout his career .

college

Carter returned to Florida State University in 2007 to coach the running backs , where he played college football . He stayed there for three seasons.
