On January 29, 1995, the San Francisco 49ers won the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the fifth time after winning Super Bowl XVI , Super Bowl XIX , Super Bowl XXIII and Super Bowl XXIV . For the San Diego Chargers , the 26:49 defeat was the first participation. With a total of 75 points, the Super Bowl XXIX is the Super Bowl with the most points. For Super Bowl MVP was quarterback of the 49ers, Steve Young , selected.
