The Super Bowl XXIX was the 29th Super Bowl , the final game of the 1994 season of the National Football League (NFL). On January 29, 1995, the San Francisco 49ers won the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the fifth time after winning Super Bowl XVI , Super Bowl XIX , Super Bowl XXIII and Super Bowl XXIV . For the San Diego Chargers , the 26:49 defeat was the first participation. With a total of 75 points, the Super Bowl XXIX is the Super Bowl with the most points. For Super Bowl MVP was quarterback of the 49ers, Steve Young , selected.
