The Super Bowl XII was the twelfth Super Bowl of the National Football League (NFL). On January 15, 1978, the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys faced each other at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans , Louisiana . The winners were the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 27:10. Dallas' defensive linemen Randy White and Harvey Martin were both named Super Bowl MVP . It was the first and only time there have been two Super Bowl MVPs, and they were the first defensive line players to be elected.

Course of the game

The first points in Super Bowl XII was Tony Dorsett for the previously weak favored Cowboys with a 3- yard - touchdown run achieve. In the same quarter a field goal followed for her.
