Dexter Scott King

Dexter Scott King (born January 30, 1961 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is the third child of Martin Luther King and his wife Coretta Scott . He is committed to civil rights and works as a documentary filmmaker and actor.

Dexter Scott King began his film career in 1977 with the portrayal of a student involved in the civil rights movement. In 1999 he produced the animated film Our Friend Martin , nominated for the Emmy in the category “Best Animated Program” , which was based on the life of his father. In 2002, he portrayed his father in the CBS- produced television film The Rosa Parks Story .
